As a Group operating in 34 countries, we wish to reach higher standards and rise from legal compliance to compliance with international standards and external expectations placed on a multinational conglomerate of our size.
To do this, we are developing our management systems and widening our view to include a few new topics. Areas for continual improvement include: safety, health and sanitation, carbon, pollution and supply chain management. New focus areas include: biodiversity, product stewardship land and human rights management.
As we improve our control over these areas, then we ought to be able to manage and reduce our impact on our people and on our externalities. When more businesses reduce their cumulative impacts on the planet, everyone, including us, will have to adapt less to the smaller changes we all are causing.
